Orange Butter

A simple but delicious orange butter that's perfect for slathering over freshly baked scones.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces butter softened
  • 7 ounces confectioner's sugar
  • zest of 1 orange
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed orange juice

Instructions

  • Mash softened butter in a bowl
  • Sieve in the powdered sugar and mix. Then add in the orange zest and juice.
  • Mix until thoroughly combined.
  • Place mixture in the center of a large piece of clingfilm, and form into a log shape. Wrap with the clingfilm and allow to firm up in the fridge.
  • Allow to come to room temperature when ready to serve.
