Chocolate Avocado Mousse Recipe

A thick and creamy chocolate avocado mousse with a pudding like texture. It's creamy and decadent and can easily be made vegan or paleo. It's a dessert that's not only delicious but almost healthy, too!

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados pitted and peeled
  • 5 ounces semisweet chocolate, melted or bittersweet
  • ¾ cup Dutch process cocoa powder or cacao powder
  • cup milk or almond milk/coconut milk
  • ½ cup sugar or maple syrup or powdered sweetener of choice
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • In a blender, combine the avocados, chocolate, cocoa powder, milk, sugar, vanilla and salt. Blend on low speed until combined. 
  • Stop the blender and scrape down the sides, then blend on high speed until the mixture is silky smooth, about 3 minutes.
  • Divide the mousse among six 4–fluid ounce ramekins. 
  • Dust with cocoa powder and top with a fresh strawberry or a few raspberries.
